BEST WOW FACTOR VENUES IN LONDON

The UK’s capital has no shortage of inspiring event spaces, but where do you start? Here’s some of our favourite venues in London right now

BAFTA

The iconic home of the world famous film and TV award, BAFTA 195 Piccadilly is located right in the heart of London. The Princess Anne Theatre is perfect for screenings or talks and the Ray Dolby Room (named after the sound engineer that invested Dolby surround sound) is gorgeous for dinners and awards. The connection to film and TV make this venue a great choice for all things glamourous.

Landing Forty Two

The iconic ‘Cheesegrater’ (actual name, the Leadenhall Building), Landing Forty Two is an impressive event space located on the 42nd Floor with amazing views across London. You arrive into the space via one of Europe’s fastest scenic lifts on the outside of the building. So, if ‘breathtaking’ is your vibe, this one’s for you! (check out @alanactaylor on Instagram to see her lift experience!)

 No. 11 Cavendish Square

We’re not gonna lie, there’s A LOT of historic, grand house-style venues in London. This one stands out for us for its immaculate décor, and as it’s home to The King’s Fund and we like the correlation between health and wellbeing (The King’s Fund is a charity working to improve people’s health).

 Somerset House Embankment Galleries

Home to London’s famous ice skating on the banks of the River Thames, Somerset House is definitely an icon. But tucked away underneath the grandeur of this historic setting, the Embankment Galleries are a dramatic blank canvas of over 1000 sq metres. We love it for its juxtaposition of modern spaces with natural light to its subterranean underbelly that adds an unexpected twist to the experience.

 Outernet

‘Here’ is a high-impact event space with Europe’s largest digital screens, for a completely immersive experience. 10,000 sq ft of blank canvas and the best acoustics in town, we love this venue for it’s state of the art technology; it feels like the Zeitgeist of venues right now.

 Illuminate at The Science Museum

Think Science Museum and we think of the iconic London attraction with its throngs of visitors and amazing exhibits (shout out to the Exploring Space zone, complete with Tim Peak’s spacecraft!). But nestled within its walls is a brilliant Illuminate, complete with LED lighting grid and panoramic projection.

 The Londoner

A five-star hotel in Leicester Sq no less and with décor to die for, we love The Londoner for meetings and catch-ups but check out their incredible Ballroom. With a private entrance and sumptuous foyer for drinks receptions, this one scores highly for us just for its sheer gorgeous-ness!

 The Orangery at Kew Gardens

Quintessentially British and located in the grounds the Royal Botanical Gardens, The Orangery has huge floor to ceiling, arched windows that flood the space with light. Perfect for evening parties and sunset gatherings.
