Women In Events Survey

The Event Foundry’s team and freelancers have taken part in the NOWIE Big Survey; an annual survey for everyone (not just women) working in events to build a picture of what it’s really like to work in the events industry. This year there’s a focus on safety, inclusion and workplace culture so that the results can help inform wider national conversations.

NOWIE, the Network of Women in Events, is a Community Interest Company who’s mission is to help create better opportunities for women in the events sector.

As a female-founded events business, The Event Foundry’s Helen Peden sees the survey as a vital part of the story.

“We’re an industry of long, unsociable hours and jumping from project to project often leaves little time for mentorship and networking; putting the care of our team at the forefront has been essential for us from the beginning and as women, having our voices contribute to a much wider national picture is so important”.
